Senior Technical Presales Engineer & Solution Consultant SF Bay Area preferred

San Francisco Bay Area / USA
Full-time
Permanent employee
130,000 - 140,000 $ pro Jahr

Why should you join?

For nearly 30 years, we've helped organizations automate complex processes without ripping out their existing systems – we orchestrate what they already have. Now part of Ricoh Group, we're scaling globally while keeping our startup DNA: flat hierarchies, direct access to leadership, and real ownership over your work.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Presales Engineer & Solution Consultant to partner closely with Sales and customers on enterprise automation opportunities. This role combines technical consulting, solution architecture, demos, and customer-facing leadership.

Candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. We may also consider candidates located in other US states for highly experienced profiles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions and solution workshops with enterprise customers
  • Analyze business processes and identify automation and orchestration opportunities
  • Design scalable workflow, integration, and solution architectures for complex enterprise environments
  • Build and deliver tailored demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts aligned to customer use cases
  • Present technical concepts and solution strategies to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Sales to support strategic opportunities, RFPs, and customer engagements
  • Architect integrations across APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Professional Services teams to support customer success and product strategy
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, partners, and implementation teams

What you need to succeed

Required:
  • 7+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise software consulting
  • Experience with workflow automation, BPM platforms, or digital process automation (DPA)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, APIs, and system architecture
  • Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise software environments
  • Ability to build technical demos, prototypes, or proof-of-concept applications
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with process automation or low-code platforms, such as:
  • Camunda
  • Appian
  • Pega
  • ServiceNow
  • Mendix
  • OutSystems
  • Bonita
  • Bizagi
  • IBM BPM
Additional experience with:
  • BPMN 2.0 process modeling
  • REST APIs and web services
  • Enterprise integration patterns
  • Distributed or global software teams
You'll thrive here if you:
  • Build trusted relationships and deliver compelling, executive-level presentations.
  • Take ownership, proactively identify problems, and drive solutions.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Focus on delivering meaningful business impact.
  • Quickly translate complex customer processes into scalable automation solutions.
  • Create high-impact demos and proof-of-concepts that clearly demonstrate value.
  • Are seen by customers as a trusted advisor on process automation architecture.
  • Help advance strategic deals through real-world automation use cases.

What we can offer

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $130,000–$140,000 (depending on experience and location)
  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401(k) with company match
Work Environment:
  • Fully remote within the US (no commute, no office politics)
  • Flexible hours - we care about results, not when you're online
  • Flat organization - you'll work directly with leadership, not through layers
  • International team - collaborate with colleagues across Europe and Asia
  • Real ownership - your ideas and initiatives actually happen
  • Equal opportunity employer - we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
Growth & Impact:
  • Shape processes as we scale in the US market
  • Gain exposure to international business operations
  • Work with a team that values authenticity over buzzwords
  • Be part of a company that's been profitable and stable for 30 years (no startup volatility)
